has Dell copied Compaq's Presario 5000 with emea and amd athlon?
If Dell have copied Compaq Presario that would explain why the compaq components DRD 8080B (v 27) Quartz Style 2
CT : 7379A037SJK43E Compaq Part NO.140314 - 6B2. DVD - Rom Drive was never a rewriter and was never designed as rewriter or copier. There fore the copying files have been stored in the Cd-RW drive and uploaded to Dell. That explains why the compaq presario 5000 settings are altered. The main reason for the copying would be the compaq designed keyboard. Dell and gateway would have used virus scanning to srore the necessessary files. The copy files should write back to a rewriter cd but instead stores MS-Dos to a floppy disk 1.44MB 3.5 inch ess double sided tpi. There is also an issue with the compaq General 1 page 1 of 1 imaging Compaq QuickRestore Compaq Edition and the same with S R at the same location.
